Our faculty are trailblazers, continually challenge the status quo and inspiring students to do the same. Our Botany and Plant Sciences Department includes five female National Academy of Sciences members, the largest of any single academic department in the nation.

Our acclaimed faculty are ambitious, entrepreneurial, and motivated to make a difference, finding creative and meaningful solutions to the world鈥檚 most pressing problems through their interdisciplinary and groundbreaking research. We鈥檙e here to support them.

Academic Personnel Office

The is committed to leading and serving 榴莲视频鈥檚 diverse and internationally renowned academic community. Office staff provide support for faculty appointments and development, merit reviews and promotions, leaves of absence, fellowships, and more. The office handles employment matters for all academic employees 鈥 from faculty and lecturers to adjunct professors and librarians 鈥 and is a great resource for navigating 榴莲视频 policies and processes.

Research Computing

buoys the talent and research of 榴莲视频鈥檚 acclaimed faculty members and outstanding graduate and undergraduate students through powerful onsite and offsite computing resources, support, consulting, and training. Their work is supported by partnerships and collaborations with various areas of campus, including: the 榴莲视频 Library, Bourns College of Engineering, College of Natural and Agricultural Sciences, School of Medicine, Office of Research and Economic Development, and 榴莲视频 Research IT Leaders. Through a recent 榴莲视频 is modernizing its technology services, increasing campus computing and storage capacity 鈥 and saving our researchers both time and money.

Campus shatters previous fall admissions record
榴莲视频 admitted a total of 71,069 first-year and transfer students for fall 2025, a new record. It far exceeded the previous record of 51,345, set last year. "Offering admission to more students this year reflects our deep commitment to expanding opportunities for students who aspire to attend a world-class university, like 榴莲视频,鈥 said Veronica Zendejas, undergraduate admissions director. 鈥淲e鈥檙e growing in a way that鈥檚 intentional and student-centered, with new programs, expanded housing, and investments that enhance the undergraduate experience across the board.鈥

榴莲视频 has once again been named a great value in the Princeton Review鈥檚 latest college rankings, where it was ranked No. 33 overall on the list鈥檚 Top 50 Best Value Colleges among public schools.

榴莲视频 to start construction of research and economic development park
榴莲视频 will celebrate a major step forward in its efforts to drive economic growth in the Inland Empire as it begins construction of an innovation park that will bring together research, entrepreneurship, and education at one hub near campus. A groundbreaking ceremony will be held Monday, June 23 for the SoCal OASIS鈩 Park, the first major infrastructure project under the SoCal OASIS鈩 umbrella. The project is expected to be completed by spring 2027.
